The Ashes: England paceman Steven Finn ruled out with knee injury

first_imgSteven Finn’s  tryst with Ashes remains doomed as he is set to miss the Australian summer with injury. He has been left out of the Ashes tour squad with the left knee injury which he had sustained in practice.He had missed the two warm-up games with the doctors diagnosing him with torn knee cartilage.England coach Trevor Bayliss had reassured on Tuesday that the quick’s position in the squad would be given “a few more days”.”Finn is still not right, we won’t know about him for another couple of days yet,” Bayliss told reporters in Adelaide on Tuesday.The 28-year-old quick, a 2010-11 and 2013-14 Ashes tourist, missed the opening tour match in Perth because of a knee injury and will also play no part in this week’s day-night match against a Cricket Australia XI at the Adelaide Oval.Announcement: Steven Finn out of the #Ashes??
