MARTINA’S INCREDIBLE SNAPS OF NORTHERN LIGHTS SHOW IN SKIES ABOVE DONEGAL

first_imgNorthern Lights by Martina GardinerEVERY great snapper has been out and about in north Donegal on recent nights, waiting for a break in the clouds to see the Northern Lights. And just look what photographer Martina Gardiner found – a night sky at Dunaff Head in Inishowen lit up by a kaleidoscope of colours dazzling the eyes. It’s just the latest display which has had tourists flocking to the county in the past 12 months hoping to catch a glimpse of the Aurora phenomena which can normally only be seen further north in Scandanavia and the Arctic. Said Martina: “It was a bit of a waiting game at Dunaff Head but eventually the rain stopped, clouds parted and the sky lit up with another fantastic aurora show.“It was incredible.”Experts say clearer skies later in the week may be another opportunity to see the Northern Lights.Northern Lights by Martina GardinerIncredible: Northern Lights by Martina Gardiner   MARTINA’S INCREDIBLE SNAPS OF NORTHERN LIGHTS SHOW IN SKIES ABOVE DONEGAL was last modified: March 20th, 2013 by BrendaShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:martina gardiner photographyMARTINA’S INCREDIBLE SNAPS OF NORTHERN LIGHTS SHOW IN SKIES ABOVE DONEGALlast_img read more
