HMD Global is holding an event in New Delhi, India which is touted as an event for the fans where it will launch a new Nokia phone. The company has been teasing “the most awaited phone” launch which suggests the Nokia 6.1 Plus will be announced for the Indian market. The Nokia 6.1 Plus is the global variant of the Nokia X6 that was launched in China a few months ago. The affordable mid-range phone has seen a lot of popularity thanks to its notched display and all-glass design, among other things.The Nokia 6.1 Plus is most likely going to be announced as it’s user guide has been up on the Nokia India website for a while now. The device not only brings an attractive design to the affordable segment, but it also looks more 2018 compared to the Nokia 6.1 that was launched earlier this year. Additionally, the device has been teased as a Flipkart exclusive. This is offered with 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 400GB via a microSD card. The Nokia 6.1 Plus is also an Android One device which means stock Android Ore out of the box with a promise of timely security updates and Android 9 Pie and Android Q in the future.The dual camera system on the Nokia 6.1 Plus includes a primary 16-megapixel sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor. Housed within the notch on the front is a 16-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The cameras get some AI support as well which helps improve image quality and bokeh effect. While most of us are winding down from a busy 2012 and getting into the festive season, our Australian teams are still busy training in the lead up to the Super Trans Tasman in early February. This weekend will see the Australian Men’s and Mixed Open teams travel to Parkes, New South Wales as they prepare to defend their Trans Tasman titles they claimed in April this year. The Parkes Touch Association has once a year hosted the Men’s Open team in recent times and is excited to this year accommodate the inclusion of the Mixed team to the area as well. The camp will also include clinics with Parkes junior Touch Football representatives as has been done in previous years. The Women’s Open team will be holding their training camp in Brisbane on Saturday and the Sunshine Coast on Sunday as they aim to continue their dominance over New Zealand.
